Abstract

New methods to make polymers from abundant and low-cost sulfur will be presented, along with strategies to manipulate their structure with light, force, and heat. The dynamic nature of these materials enabled new applications in optics and information storage. Case studies in use of these materials as diffraction elements, anti-reflective coatings, data storage media, and anti-counterfeiting devices will be presented.
