Co-optimized design and imaging performance enhancement of optical digital joint zoom system
Abstract
In response to the complexity and weight constraints of zoom optical systems in the field of space optoelectronic imaging, it is necessary to improve the imaging quality as much as possible within the limited complexity. In order to solve this problem, this paper proposes an end-to-end design method for optical-digital hybrid zoom system, which adopts the global design idea to break through the limitation of traditional step-by-step design, and improves the imaging performance without increasing the complexity of the optical system. Finally, simulation restoration experiments are carried out, and the mean square error(MSE) of the restored images of the short-, medium-, and long focus systems is reduced to 0.00054, 0.00041, and 0.00044, the peak signal-to-noise ratios(PSNR) are improved to 32.6835, 33.8572, and 33.5326, and the structural similarities (SSIM) are improved to 0.9801, 0.9885, and 0.9897.Compared with the traditional design method of designing the optical system first and then using computational imaging, this method achieves overall system optimization through the synergy of optical correction and digital processing.
