Design and implementation of a lightweight dual-lens camera adapted for logistics scenarios
Abstract
In the visual perception context of urban logistics, three key challenges are currently encountered. First, balancing panoramic coverage and detail capture remains difficult, making it impossible to simultaneously satisfy the requirements of wide-area monitoring and fine-grained recognition. Second, computing resources and hardware costs are constrained by the characteristics of logistics scenarios, while bandwidth bottlenecks tend to cause delays in data transmission. Third, existing solutions exhibit insufficient adaptability to wide-area distributed monitoring scenarios involving either fixed or vehicle-mounted mobile devices. To address these issues, this paper proposes a design scheme for a lightweight dual-lens camera tailored to logistics scenarios (abbreviation: LDLC-LS). By establishing an integrated architecture of "dual-lens imaging + triple-core computing + 5G transmission", the scheme enables simultaneous implementation of dual-mode visual intelligent perception (i.e., "panoramic coverage + detail capture") and 5G-based real-time transmission of video data. Results from field tests demonstrate that the LDLC-LS scheme is both reasonable and effective.
