Abstract

This research examines the robustness of logistics networks in the Xinjiang region through complex network theory. As logistics systems become increasingly integral to economic development, understanding their resilience against disruptions becomes critical. This study constructs a comprehensive logistics network model for Xinjiang using postal service data and an improved gravity model. The research differentiates between static and dynamic robustness, introducing a nonlinear load-capacity model to better simulate real-world network behavior. Through simulations of various failure scenarios, the study reveals that networks are significantly more vulnerable to targeted attacks based on node importance metrics than to random failures. Furthermore, the consideration of cascading failures in dynamic robustness assessment demonstrates accelerated network degradation compared to static models. These findings provide valuable insights for optimizing logistics infrastructure planning and risk management strategies in Xinjiang's developing logistics system.
