Abstract

Compare and analyze the structural parameters, maneuverability, and driving stability of four types of double (semi-trailer) road train models to explore their application value and optimization direction in logistics transportation. Four double (semi-trailer) road train models were selected as research subjects. Their structural parameters were measured and compared. Maneuverability was evaluated using indicators such as turning radius and passage adaptability. Driving stability tests were conducted according to current standards. The results showed that the double (semi-trailer) road train models met the demands of different cargo types and transportation scenarios through diversified designs. The maneuverability analysis revealed that Model 2 and Model 4 performed better in terms of turning radius and passage adaptability, with smaller minimum turning radii. Model 1 and Model 3 were relatively limited in complex road environments due to their larger turning diameters. The driving stability tests demonstrated that all four models met the requirements of current standards in lateral stability, snake test, and straight-line stability, indicating high reliability and practicality. The findings suggest that Model 2 and Model 4 have broader route selection advantages due to their superior maneuverability, while Model 1 and Model 3 remain competitive in long-distance trunk transportation. The results provide data support for logistics companies in model selection and offer reference for vehicle to optimize designs.
