Abstract

With the rapid development of China's social and economic development, the early construction of highways is difficult to cope with the growing traffic demand, Highway Reconstruction and Expansion has become a key measure to improve the traffic capacity and efficiency. This paper analyzes the complexity of Traffic Organization in the process of reconstruction and expansion, and from the perspective of keeping the whole line open as a whole, it proposes a Duration-based Traffic Organization Design scheme serial method by establishing a duration library, calculating the duration of road sections and segments, and optimizing the ideal duration, so as to achieve the goal of coordinating the progress of various construction sections and optimizing the allocation of road service level and construction resources. The research results are carried out and applied in Guangshen Highway Reconstruction and Expansion Project, and the results show that the method is of reference significance to enhance the rationality of Highway Reconstruction and Expansion Traffic Organization design.
