Abstract

Amidst an upgrading consumer market and intensifying competition, product packaging exerts a significant influence on consumer purchasing decisions. Traditional packaging design relies heavily on designers' experience, lacking systematic quantitative analysis of user needs, thereby failing to maximise user satisfaction. To address this, this study constructs an integrated model combining the KANO model with the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). This approach merges qualitative categorisation of user needs with quantitative weighting analysis. First, the KANO model classifies requirements, identifies key items, and quantifies their impact on satisfaction. Subsequently, an AHP hierarchical structure model is established, employing KANO coefficients to modify the judgement matrix and determine the priority of design elements. Research indicates that this integrated model significantly outperforms traditional approaches in terms of both enhancing user satisfaction efficiency and improving the precision of design decisions. This study not only provides a measurable, actionable theoretical framework and practical tool for the field of packaging design, but also offers extensive reference value for user needs analysis in areas such as product design and service innovation.
