Vehicle model characteristic analysis based on simulation method
Abstract
As an important research hotspot, mixed traffic flow has always been concerned, but due to the lack of actual data, the simulation approach is proposed to study the characteristics of mixed traffic flow with both autonomous vehicles and manual vehicles. Firstly, the CACC and IDM are used as the autonomous model, the Krauss model is selected as the manual model, and analyze the model parameters in detaild. Secondly, the highway stright and curve scenarios are built by using traffic software SUMO, and the three types of vehicles model can be distinguished by setting different parameters. And then, simulation program is run for each scenario, and the autonomous vehicles proportion increases gradually from 10% to 90% at the rate of 10%. Finally, the simulation results demonstrate that with the increase of autonomous vehicles, road average speed is gradually decreasing while the total number of vehicles remains the same. In addition, the results strongly show that CACC performs better than IDM because of the information interaction between vehicles.
