Abstract

In order to evaluate the interference of GPS signals under navigation warfare conditions, combined with the real war case of airstrikes on Syria by the United States, the United Kingdom, and France, GPS observation data from IGS ground stations around Syria were utilized. Considering evaluation indicators such as signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), number of visible satellites, dilution of precision (DOP), and positioning errors, a quantitative analysis of GPS data quality during interference was conducted. The results show that during the airstrikes, the GPS signals at the bshm observation station, closest to Damascus, were seriously interfered with, resulting in a decrease in the number of visible satellites, an increase in DOP values, larger positioning errors, and reduced system positioning accuracy. This evaluation content and method can effectively assess the interference status of GPS signals.
