Abstract

To improve the development effect of water flooding and polymer flooding in Type II reservoirs and further clarify the distribution characteristics of sand-bodies in Type II reservoirs, fine reservoir description was carried out using comprehensive multidisciplinary technologies including geology, logging, seismic, and reservoir engineering. Under the guidance of sedimentary models, the sandbody orientation was determined based on regional sedimentary background. Through the analysis of well-point curve characteristics, sandbody thickness, etc., the sandbody contact relationship and channel sedimentary stages were analyzed to preliminary judge sandbody continuity. Using the method of seismic attribute controlling the plane and inversion controlling the profile, well-seismic integration was used to further refine and reveal the interwell sandbody continuity characteristics. Due to the changed understanding of sedimentary environment and fine identification by well-seismic integration, the understanding of sand-bodies has changed significantly, mainly in the distribution characteristics, continuity and combination characteristics of sand-bodies. The types, geometric shapes and scales of interwell sand-bodies are more clearly indicated, providing a more reliable basis for revealing the connectivity characteristics and determining injection-production relationships, and having good reference significance for judging interwell sandbody continuity in similar reservoirs.
