Five dimensional interferenceless coded aperture correlation holography with a vortex filter
Abstract
Vortex beams, characterized by a helical phase structure and a singularity along their axis, have proven to offer unique advantages in optical imaging, including super-resolution, improved contrast, and robustness through scattering media and optical communication. In this study, we explore the use of vortex beams as carrier beams in the wellestablished Interferenceless Coded Aperture Correlation Holography (I-COACH) framework. A unique coherent/incoherent adaptable 4F optical configuration between the object and the image sensor is proposed to simultaneously encode 3D space and spectrum in the first stage and orbital angular momentum in the second stage in a single camera shot recorded by a monochrome sensor. The recorded 5D information is reconstructed into depth, wavelength and OAM-specific information by processing the object intensity distribution with a pre-recorded point spread function library using a deconvolution method. Simulation studies are presented.
