Abstract

To evaluate rainfall station network in the basin, this study proposes a comprehensive evaluation index system for rain gauge networks following the "Technical Regulations for Hydrologic Network Design" focuses on areal rainfall calculation, with hydrological simulation as supporting evidence and introducing the "China Meteorological Administration Multisource Precipitation Analysis System" (CMPAS) as a reference for the spatial distribution of areal rainfall in regions with sparse network density, and take the Minjiang River basin as the study area. The results show that the distribution of the station network in the Minjiang River basin is generally unreasonable and significantly affects the accuracy of areal rainfall calculations and hydrological simulations. The evaluation index system proposed in this study is relatively comprehensive and reasonable, providing good reference value for practical work.
