Abstract

This paper proposes a compact and highly reliable design scheme for wet plug-in electrical connectors applied in an underwater environment of 3,000 meters. Through structural optimization, material selection, pressure compensation mechanism and dynamic sealing technology, the stable performance under a high pressure of 45 MPa, a working temperature range of -5 ℃ to 50 ℃ and a 25-year service life requirement has been achieved. Combining finite element simulation and mechanical calculation, the strength, electric field distribution and environmental adaptability of the key components were verified. The test results show that the product meets the API 17F standard, has a plug-and-pull life of more than 100 times, and provides an innovative solution for deep-sea electrical connection equipment.
