Research and application of rapid and high-quality well completion technology in uranium deposits of Yili
Abstract
In Honghaigou deposit in Ili, Xinjiang, sandstone type uranium deposits occur in areas deeper than 700 meters in the Toutunhe Formation. Due to multiple factors such as increased drilling depth, loose and prone to collapse formations, limited production equipment capacity, and outdated cementing technology, the drilling completion rate in this work area has been consistently low. This article introduces a rapid completion technology achieved through the use of advanced equipment, high-quality cement slurry systems, and innovative downhole cementing tools. This technology significantly shortens the completion time, improves the quality of drilling and cementing, and helps solve problems such as sand influx and borehole blockage caused by continuous formation collapse after cutting and opening windows during filter placement. This study has explored a fast and high-quality completion technology suitable for ultra-deep in-situ leaching drilling of sandstone type uranium deposits in the Ili Basin, Xinjiang, laying a solid foundation for the high-quality development of the Honghaigou deposit.
