Simulation study of power distribution system control methods for more electric aircraft
Abstract
This paper addresses the technical challenges of multi-power source coordination and dynamic load management in the power distribution system of more electric aircraft, using the Boeing 787 as a case study for control method simulation. A modular simulation model is built based on Matlab/Simulink, including 6 groups of power sources, multi-level busbars, and 19 types of equivalent resistive loads. A collaborative control strategy of "Four-Level Load Priority Management" and "Knapsack Algorithm Optimization" is proposed—dynamically adjusting power supply logic according to flight stages. Load optimal selection is achieved through dynamic programming under limited capacity, and fault response mechanisms are designed. Simulation results show that under normal conditions, system redundancy exceeds 35%, improving energy efficiency; during unilateral failure, APU ensures the operation of critical loads within. The effectiveness of this method in enhancing distribution reliability and fault tolerance is verified, providing theoretical support for the application of intelligent power distribution in more electric aircraft engineering.
