Abstract

To address the challenges of high computational load and inefficient data processing in conventional ISAR imaging systems, this paper proposes a microwave photonics-based dual-band LFM radar architecture. The system employs coordinated operation between an X-band (9.2-10 GHz) radar for target detection and a Ku-band (14-18 GHz) radar for imaging. By implementing a client-server framework, target information acquired by Radar 1 is used to guide Radar 2 in selectively processing only the relevant segments of echo signals. This targeted data extraction approach, combined with microwave photonic signal processing, significantly reduces the data volume required for ISAR imaging while maintaining image quality.
