Resilience identification of critical sections in urban road network during road occupation construction
Abstract
The implementation of road widening and expansion projects has had a substantial impact on the normal operation of the urban transportation system. Adopting a road resilience perspective, this paper proposes a GRA-TOPSIS synthetical evaluation method under composite weighting to identify critical sections within road occupation construction zones. Firstly, structural and functional resilience indicators—including edge betweenness, network efficiency loss and TTI—are selected to establish an assessment framework for road segment resilience. Secondly, a combination of subjective and objective weights for each indicator is calculated, and the GRA-TOPSIS model is applied to compute the comprehensive evaluation index quantifying the importance of road segments. Finally, to illustrate this methodology, the road network operational data around Jingang Road in Beilun District, Ningbo was obtained using TESS NG simulation system. The GRA-TOPSIS method was employed to quantify the importance of road segments, thereby identifying key sections. The study demonstrates that the GRA-TOPSIS model under the combination weight can effectively address the uncertainty and ambiguity inherent in the evaluation process; and the precise identification of key road segments necessitates the consideration of the topological structure characteristics of the road network and the functional resilience sensitivity of the sections, so as to provide scientific decision-making support for the precise control of traffic during the road occupation construction.
