Abstract

This paper takes a protected historical building as an example to demonstrate the application of 3D laser scanning technology in the digital archiving of historical buildings. The scanning results show the high accuracy and efficiency of advanced equipment. From the analysis of the scanning results, it can be concluded that the scanning and splicing accuracy of the project is high, which can better meet the requirements of digital archiving of protected buildings. In addition, the combination of BIM technology and 3D laser scanning, i.e., the integration of point clouds and models, provides precise positioning for the structural renovation and mechanical and electrical pipeline renovation of buildings, and provides digital ideas for the protection and repair of historical buildings.
