Abstract

In this article, we describe a cylindrical light field display that enables viewing of large-scale stereoscopic projections from a 360-degree viewpoint. Achieving a large projected image on 360-degree viewable light-field displays requires either the enlargement of the scanning mirror or the utilization of numerous projectors. Therefore, we propose a largescale time-division 360-degree light field display system to solve these problems. It consists of a rotating cylindrical lens array screen, a single high-speed projector, and a scanning mirror.
