Study on external ballistic characteristics of electromagnetic emission projectiles based on aerodynamic parameter calculation
Abstract
At present, there is no standardized product for large-caliber electromagnetic emission projectiles, especially the starting parameters and ballistic characteristics of high-speed rotating projectiles remain unclear. Aiming at the structural characteristics of large-caliber electromagnetic emission high-speed rotating projectiles and combining with their flight characteristics, several typical working conditions are taken as calculation conditions. Based on CFD simulation analysis software and engineering algorithms, the aerodynamic parameters and ballistic environment are simulated and calculated respectively. Finally, the CFD aerodynamic parameter calculation, structural overall parameter calculation process and results of electromagnetic emission high-speed rotating projectiles are given. On this basis, combined with the six-degree of-freedom ballistic model, the ballistic simulation evaluation under two typical launch conditions is completed. The flight stability of the projectile and the ballistic elements before landing under corresponding working conditions are analyzed, providing a theoretical basis for the subsequent optimization and iteration of the projectile structure and serving as data support for formulating test safety schemes.
