Calculation of distorted apparent resistivity values using impedance phase data in the magnetotelluric method
Abstract
This paper focuses on the magnetotelluric method, addressing issues caused by electromagnetic noise interference in measured data. The Robust method is ineffective against input-end noise, posing a challenge for processing and interpretation personnel. The author innovatively developed a human-computer interactive application program that utilizes phase data to calculate apparent resistivity values. By employing editing and smoothing techniques, it effectively restores the authentic morphology of distorted apparent resistivity curves. This method demonstrates good stability and adaptability in handling noisy data, highlighting its universality in data processing technology and potential interdisciplinary application value, such as in geological exploration and environmental monitoring. This technology provides new ideas and methods for solving common data distortion problems in electromagnetic method measurements, helps improve data interpretation efficiency, promotes the development of related fields, and offers important support for research and engineering practice.
