Abstract

In this paper, an intelligent robot indoor navigation system based on the fusion of VFH and SLAM is proposed. By combining the real-time obstacle avoidance capability of VFH and the environmental perception and localization capability of SLAM, the problems of positioning drift and unsmooth path planning faced by traditional navigation methods in complex environments are solved. In this study, a 20×20-meter home scene was constructed using MATLAB simulation environment, and a multi-level path smoothing technology and dynamic speed control strategy were designed. Experimental results show that the system can achieve reliable navigation in unknown or semi-known environments.
