Abstract

The corrosion layer generated by 60601-T6 aluminum alloy in 33wt.% CaCl2 solution was prepared by dry and wet alternating corrosion test. A comparative analysis was conducted on the changes in surface morphology and chemical composition of 6061-T6 aluminum alloy pre - and post - laser cleaning, along with an analysis of how laser - cleaned corrosion layers affect the alloy’s surface corrosion resistance. The findings indicate that after laser cleaning, the surface oxygen content of the aluminum alloy decreases by 77.89%, Moreover, laser cleaning can eliminate the original surface corrosion layer consisting of Al(OH)3+Al2O3+MgO and form a new, uniform oxide layer composed of Al2O3+MgO, thereby enhancing the aluminum alloy’s corrosion resistance in 33wt.% CaCl2 solution.
