Research on optimized system design and high-precision control system for performance testing and evaluation of LNG cryogenic submersible pumps
Abstract
With the rapid development of the liquefied natural gas (LNG) industry, the demand for precise testing and evaluation of LNG cryogenic submersible pumps has grown significantly. This study proposes an optimized LNG cryogenic submersible pump testing platform to address critical challenges, including measurement inaccuracies (±1.5% initial error) and head fluctuations (±0.8 m amplitude) caused by inlet flow instability and multiphase fluid dynamics. By integrating advanced 3D fluid simulation software and refining platform architecture, instrumentation selection, and control system design, the platform achieves enhanced stability and precision. Comparative tests with international LNG submersible pumps and existing platforms demonstrate its superior performance, with measurement errors confined to ±0.5% for head and ±1% for efficiency. The platform supports applications in pump R&D, performance evaluation, and third-party quality inspections. Future work will focus on incorporating AI-driven predictive maintenance algorithms to further enhance diagnostic capabilities.
