Abstract

In order to address the issue of insufficient power supply for wireless detection sensors in smart grids. This work proposes a hybrid energy harvester based on the synergistic effect of triboelectric-piezoelectric hybrid mechanisms, capable of simultaneously harvesting wind energy and magnetic field energy around power transmission lines. The upper section employs a tribological nanogenerator (W-TENG) to capture wind energy, while the lower section utilizes a piezoelectric nanogenerator (A-PEG) to harvest magnetic field energy. Through structural co-design, this achieves efficient conversion of multi-source energy. Results demonstrate that at a rotational speed of 1100 rpm and a transmission line current of 18 A, the triboelectric module achieves an output voltage of 980 V, while the piezoelectric module generates 4.08 V, and can charge a 4.7 μF capacitor to 9.7 V within 4 seconds. Utilizing this energy harvester to power wireless monitoring sensors provides an effective solution for advancing micro-energy harvesting technology within smart grids.
