Flexible pressure sensor with rapid response capability based on cMF@Co/NC
Abstract
Flexible pressure sensors, as devices that convert external physical signals into electrical signals, have garnered significant attention in fields such as human health monitoring and human-machine interaction. However, commercial flexible pressure sensors typically exhibit slow response times, making them difficult to meet the demands of human health monitoring. Based on this, we immersed melamine foam in a ZIF-67 suspension and subjected it to high-temperature in-situ pyrolysis, ultimately obtaining cMF@Co/NC as the sensing material. The continuous conductive network formed by the composite material reduces signal transmission delays, enhances mechanical properties to accelerate deformation recovery, and thereby speeds up its response time. The sensor has a detection range of 0–80 kPa and a sensitivity of 0.064 kPa-1 in the low-pressure range. It also exhibits response and recovery times as low as 40 ms and 80 ms. Furthermore, it maintains excellent stability over 1000 cycles. It is worth noting that the pressure sensor for cMF@Co/NC features a short response time, meeting the requirements for human health monitoring.
