Abstract

A sorting method for magnetite based on magnetic field detection is proposed to improve the precision of magnetite sorting and reduce resource waste. A magnetic field simulation model was established using COMSOL to simulate and calculate the detection magnetic field of magnetite, thereby obtaining the magnetic flux density curve. The influence of the permanent magnet system on the detection magnetic field was subsequently simulated, revealing the patterns of magnetic systems with different parameters on the detection magnetic field. Finally, based on the results of the simulation calculations and the performance characteristics of Hall elements, a Hall element array was designed, and an experimental platform was constructed to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method. Experimental results demonstrate that the detection precision of the magnetite detection and sorting system designed based on this method is significantly higher than that of traditional methods, with the amplitude of the magnetite detection signal increasing by an average of 108%.
