Abstract

Plateau areas account for 58% of China's total land area. The unique environment of low atmospheric pressure, low oxygen partial pressure, and large temperature difference poses severe challenges to the safe operation, power output, and economic performance of Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles (FCEVs). Based on the draft of the group standard Test Method for Plateau Adaptability of Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles and the latest industry research results, this paper constructs a complete technical system covering test conditions, core test items, data processing, and evaluation indicators. It focuses on expounding the test methods for safety, cold start, power performance, economic performance, and adaptive driving under plateau environment, and analyzes the plateau adaptability characteristics of key components such as fuel cell stacks, air compressors, and on-board hydrogen systems. The research results show that this test and evaluation method can effectively quantify the plateau adaptability of FCEVs, provide technical support for product optimization design and commercial promotion, and fill the gap in the industry's systematic test specifications for plateau environments.
