Abstract

This paper presents a comprehensive methodology for assessing humanistic value, damage levels and devising maintenance strategies based on the combination of the GE Matrix and ARP algorithm. Initially, the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) is employed to evaluate humanistic value, which is subsequently utilized within the GE Matrix to categorize humanistic value assessments with damage levels. Following this categorization, 16 intervention strategies are formulated, each accompanied by detailed action plans. To demonstrate the practical application, the building is selected as a case study within the GE Matrix evaluation. The Guangyue Building is assessed and falls into the VI category, prompting the development of immediate maintenance solutions. The ARP algorithm is then applied to analyze the subsequent maintenance schedule, considering factors such as degradation rates, ongoing repairs and inflation rates.
