A carrier tracking algorithm with frequency sweep-joint locking detection
Abstract
A frequency sweep assisted carrier tracking algorithm is proposed to address the issues of carrier tracking and signal demodulation in high dynamic environments. Based on the frequency-locked loop assisted phase-locked loop, a large range of frequency sweep is carried out until the loop can track the signal normally. During the frequency sweep process, multiple locking detection method is used to determine whether the loop is locked, thereby determining whether to switch frequency interval and whether to disconnect the frequency-locked loop. This algorithm can simultaneously achieve carrier tracking and signal demodulation within a large Doppler frequency offset range. The simulation results show that the algorithm can track a large range of signal frequencies, significantly improve the carrier frequency tracking accuracy through locking detection and mode switching strategies, and can correctly demodulate the signal. Therefore, it has broad application prospects.
