Abstract

During the towing process of the three-pontoon semi-submersible floating wind turbine, the towing sensitivity parameters will affect the towing of the wind turbine. Therefore, this paper sets up four different numerical simulation conditions for the towing cable point height and towing speed in the towing sensitivity parameters, and compares the influence of the towing cable point height and towing speed on the towing motion performance of the floating wind turbine under the same wave environment conditions, providing a reference for actual engineering. The results show that the towing cable point height has a greater influence on the pitch angle and heave of the three-pontoon type floating wind turbine. The pitch amplitude of the towing cable point above the water surface is greater than the pitch amplitude under the water surface, and the heave amplitude increases slightly with the increase of the towing cable point height; the increase in towing speed directly leads to the increase of the towing force. At different speeds, the roll and pitch angles of the three-pontoon type floating wind turbine fluctuate within ±2.5°. At a speed of 7 kn, the maximum cable towing force of the three-pontoon type floating wind turbine is 14.91 MN, which is 38.09% higher than that of 4 kn.
