Abstract

As a key component of next-generation wireless communication systems, transparent antennas break the limitations of traditional metal antennas in terms of visual stealth and spatial integration by combining transparent conductive materials with new electromagnetic wave regulation technology. This paper systematically reviews the research progress of transparent antennas in materials systems, structural design and application scenarios, and analyzes their industrial potential in flexible electronics, automotive, 5G communication and other directions. Studies have shown that transparent antennas based on silver wire, graphene and ITO can achieve radiation efficiency comparable to traditional antennas (> 75%) while having visible light transmittance of more than 80%. The future development direction will focus on key technological breakthroughs such as multi-band compatibility, dynamic regulation and large-scale manufacturing process optimization.
