Abstract

A comprehensive research program is presented aimed at studying multi-quark states (diquark, multi-quark (multinucleon), exotic hadron states, etc.). Studies of rare processes on beams of protons and light nuclei (both unpolarized and polarized) and unique polarized targets at proton energies up to 12 GeV (6 AGeV for nuclei) and beam intensities up to $$10^{10}$$ A/s. To carry out these studies, the experimental setup should cover the range of polar angles of $$90\pm 45^{\circ}$$ in c.m.s. and to register particles with a transverse momentum $$p_{T}>0.5$$ GeV/c, where multiquark systems (including strangeness) are most pronounced. These studies are very important because they can shed light on some new features of nonperturbative QCD.
