Abstract

To improve the performance of existing chaotic maps, we propose a generalized discrete tanh-based memristor (T-DM) model. According to the characteristics of three fingerprints, it is verified that the proposed T-DM belongs to the category of generalized memristor. Based on the discrete quadratic tanh-based memristor (QT-DM), it is coupled with the classical Sine map to construct a novel memristor chaotic map named QTM-SM. Through numerical simulation and theoretical analysis of the system, we find that it improves the dynamical characteristics and complexity of the original map by coupling QT-DM. The proposed memristor chaotic map has more complex phase space trajectories, larger chaotic range, higher complexity and chaotic region scale (CRS). Finally, we implement three T-DM models and QTM-SM on the digital signal processor (DSP) platform, and a pseudo-random number generator (PRNG) is designed based on QTM-SM to explore its application prospects.
