Nonlinear Vibrations of Eccentric Rotating Graphene-Reinforced Porous Cylindrical Shell
Abstract
This study introduces, for the first time, a dynamic model of an eccentric rotating graphene-reinforced porous cylindrical shell grounded in first-order shear deformation theory (FSDT). We investigate the shell’s nonlinear vibrations under axial excitation, accounting for the effects of Coriolis and centrifugal forces resulting from the eccentric rotation. By utilizing Hamilton’s principle, FSDT, and the von Karman nonlinear geometric relationship, we derive a set of partial differential governing equations for the eccentric rotating graphene-reinforced porous cylindrical shell. These equations are subsequently transformed into ordinary differential equations using the Galerkin method. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive discussion of the chaotic and periodic motions displayed by the eccentric rotating graphene-reinforced porous cylindrical shell.
