Abstract

This paper introduces the group class [Formula: see text], which consists of groups that every maximal subgroup is [Formula: see text]-solvable or has a prime power index. This group class extends the group class [Formula: see text] defined by Demina and Maslova. Dual sets of second maximal subgroups are determined to explore these two group classes and several characterizations for non-solvable groups are presented.
