Abstract

This research explores the impact of charge on the structure of static spherically symmetric anisotropic compact stars in the framework of [Formula: see text] gravity, where [Formula: see text] represents the non-metricity scalar and [Formula: see text] denotes the trace of the energy-momentum tensor. For this purpose, we use the Reissner–Nordstr[Formula: see text]m model to describe the external spacetime. Modified field equations are derived using the model [Formula: see text] along with Adler–Finch–Skea metric potentials, to analyze the physical properties of the compact objects. Various characteristics, such as energy density, pressure components, anisotropy, energy conditions and equation of state parameters, are explored through graphical representations. The equilibrium conditions are examined using the Tolman–Oppenheimer–Volkoff equation and key features like the mass-radius relationship, compactness and surface redshift are explored. Finally, the stability of the solution is assessed with the causality condition and the adiabatic index. It is found that the proposed solution meets all the required physical conditions and exhibits stable behavior.
