Fabrication of Porous Carbon Directly from Tobacco Straw and its Application in Sustained Release of Furfuryl Alcohol
Abstract
This study aimed to develop porous biochar from tobacco straw for furfuryl alcohol adsorption. Biochar was prepared via pyrolysis and modified with HNO 3 /KOH, with the 600[Formula: see text]C KOH-modified condition (TSB-KOH) exhibiting optimal performance: A specific surface area of 1387.18[Formula: see text]m 2 /g and an equilibrium adsorption capacity of 207.51[Formula: see text]mg/g within 9[Formula: see text]h. The material also demonstrated temperature stability and sustained release potential, supporting high-value utilization of tobacco straw.
