Abstract

We prove the existence of a constant [Formula: see text] such that for any Riemannian metric [Formula: see text] on a 2-dimensional sphere [Formula: see text], there exist two distinct closed geodesics with lengths [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text] satisfying [Formula: see text].
