Abstract

Undergraduate research provides students with opportunities to be exposed to theoretical and applied research and build portfolios for graduate school applications and employment. This poster describes the evolution of the Seidenberg Summer Undergraduate Research program (SSUR) at Pace University, from its inception in 2022 to its expansion in 2025. We detail strategies for recruiting students, funding and operationalizing the program through alignment with Computing Research Association (CRA) guidelines. Research has converged into emerging areas like Artificial Intelligence (AI), cybersecurity, and User Experience (UX). Our experience demonstrates that scaling such programs requires appropriate investments and a dedicated support system that exceeds the span of the program.
