Abstract

COPD-derived AECs exhibit higher susceptibility to CSE-induced HOTAIR upregulation. CSE induces distinct histone modification patterns (H3K4me3) specifically in COPD-derived AECs. HOTAIR is essential for mediating CSE-induced proinflammatory responses in AECs.
