Challenges and Supports Shaping the Early Years of Teaching

This narrative literature review identifies and synthesizes relevant research on the supports demonstrated to be effective in addressing the challenges faced by teachers in their initial years of practice. In doing so, this review establishes the foundation for the next stages of the broader project, including instrument design and data analysis. Ultimately, it contributes to the development of recommendations aimed at strengthening early career supports across Alberta’s K–12 system.
