Abstract

The multivariable logistic regression analyses identified factors associated with four dimensions of negative emotions—depression (A), anxiety (B), introverted irritability (C), and extroverted irritability (D)—among women with benign breast disease (BBD). Associations between baseline variables and each dimension of negative emotions were examined using logistic regression analysis. Both crude and adjusted odds ratios (ORs) with 95% confidence intervals (CIs) were calculated, and variables with P ≤ 0.100 in univariate analyses were entered into the multivariable models through a stepwise selection approach. Each panel displays adjusted ORs with corresponding 95% CIs and P values for all variables included in the final models.
