Ainda estou aqui: a narrativa expandida dentro da rede social X
Abstract
The movie I am still here (2024), directed by Walter Salles, tells the story of Eunice Paiva’s family during the period of the military dictatorship in Brazil, when her husband was taken, tortured and killed at DOI-CODI. The film was acclaimed by the public and by specialized critics, being included in the Oscar shortlist. This article aims to show how the film’s narrative, focused on resistance and the fight against authoritarianism, extends beyond the screen, and sparks new narratives within the social network X, whether revisiting the past or addressing present-day issues. Furthermore, it also shows the ideological discourse that sustains the movie and makes it meaningful for many social groups.
