Abstract

The study provides data to public health policy makers that could help develop a more effective control program of VL.Title should be changed using ecotope not ecotype as ecotype is used more for genetically different populations not ecological sites. The abstract reflects accurately the most important findings of the work. The Materials and methods section adequately describes the material, the sites of the study, the methods used (which are very modern). But the period of the study is not mentioned.Statistic analyses are adequate for the work. The results give sufficient details.Figures are very well illustrated. The discussion addresses the results adequately. The authors mentioned the limitation of the use of rk39 to assess the seroprevalence. The manuscript presents new knowledge and a useful review but some changes or explanations are important to improve the quality of the article.
