Abstract

Abstract Malformations in crustaceans have been noted in their natural environments as well as in controlled laboratory conditions. Several specific malformation patterns have been recorded in Artemia under typical culture conditions. This study highlights a unique occurrence of shortened eyestalks and loss of unilateral compound eyes in adult Artemia , which may be linked to UV-B radiation.
