Podopostia dominicana, a new genus and a new species in the family Postiaceae (Polyporales, Basidiomycota)
Abstract
The new genus Podopostia, the new species P. dominicana and P. stellifera comb. nov. are here proposed within the family Postiaceae (Polyporales), based on morphological and multigene analyses (nrITS, nrLSU, nrSSU, mtSSU, RPB1, RPB2, and TEF1 sequences). These two species are characterized by a terrestrial habit and stipitate basidiomata.
