Investigation of sociodemographic, temporal, and meteorological heterogeneity in the short-term blood pressure response to air pollutants
Abstract
Air pollution causes roughly 7 million premature deaths every year globally [ 31 ]. According to World Health Organisation, 99% of the global population reside in areas with air pollution levels exceeding the guidelines [ 33 ]. With accelerating climate change, air pollution, especially ozone concentrations, and its adverse consequences on health are being amplified, particularly in urban areas like Paris [ 2 ].
