Abstract

The standard of care for metastatic triple-negative breast cancer is evolving, informed by results from the recent phase 3 ASCENT-04/KEYNOTE-D-19, ASCENT-03, and TROPION-Breast02 trials. Although these trials confirm the first-line efficacy of TROP2-directed antibody-drug conjugates such as sacituzumab govitecan and datopotamab deruxtecan with or without immunotherapy, they also highlight the importance of adverse event management in balancing efficacy with patients’ quality of life.
