Curative-Intent Approaches to Node-Positive Prostate Cancer
Abstract
Node-positive prostate cancer is potentially curable with definitive therapy—abiraterone plus prednisolone improves metastasis-free survival in patients receiving definitive radiation therapy (RT) with long-term androgen deprivation therapy (ADT), and adjuvant RT with ADT shows promise in those who undergo radical prostatectomy. However, current outcomes remain suboptimal, meaning that more clinical trials dedicated to this patient population are needed.
